Celebrating the creative reuse of materials
Presented by Wyatt Heritage Properties Inc. and Culture Summerside

The REFRESH art project sees artists create a sculptural piece made with recycled material scrounged, hoarded, bartered or gifted. Only adhesives may be newly purchased.

Specific Requirements:

The work must be at least 5 feet in height and 2 feet in width and free standing. Public safety must be taken into consideration.

Must be able to withstand outdoor environment for three full days.

Must be able to transport to display site at the Wyatt Heritage Properties, Summerside on arranged date.

Installation and dismantling is the responsibilities of the artist.

Artist statement regarding piece required. Photo documentation will be required during the design and creation process.

Interested artists are asked to include in their submission:

3 to 5 images of previous works with brief description.

An artist fee of eight hundred dollars will be granted to selected participants.
Submissions accepted up to May 21st at 4:30 pm by email: wyatt.programs@city.summerside.pe.ca or hand delivered to Lefurgey Cultural Centre, 205 Prince Street.
Selected artists will be notified by May 31st.

The works will be on display for the Summerside Arts Festival, from July 19-21, 2021 downtown Summerside on Water Street.
