“Refresh” Arts Project
Celebrating the creative reuse of materials
Artists are invited to submit a proposal for the creation of a sculptural piece made with recycled material scrounged, hoarded, bartered or gifted. Only adhesives may be newly purchased. The work must be at least 5 feet in height and 2 feet in width and free standing. Public safety must be taken into consideration. Must be able to withstand outdoor environment for three full days. Transporting to display site, Installation, and dismantling responsibilities of artist.Artist statement regarding piece required.
Interested artists are asked to include in submission, 3 to 5 images of previous works, outline of proposed project, sketches, and dimensions. Maquettes welcomed.
Submissions accepted up to Monday, May 7th at 4:30 pm by email: wyatt.programs@city.summerside.pe.ca or hand deliver to Lefurgey Cultural Centre, 205 Prince Street.Selected artists will be notified by May 11. Each selected artist will receive an artist's fee of $600.00.
Work will be on display for Summerside Arts Festival, July 23rd to 25th, 2018.
