Arts Fest 2026 is a vibrant, city-wide celebration of creativity, running from June 8 to July 4 in Summerside, PEI. With hands-on workshops, live performances, Art Alley, and community art projects, this year’s festival invites everyone to get inspired and make their mark.

Little Lorraine (2025) is a Canadian crime drama directed by Andy Hines, based on true events regarding a 1980s drug smuggling ring in Nova Scotia. Following a mining disaster, a Cape Breton family man (Stephen Amell) is lured into a dangerous international cocaine ring involving lobster boats and funeral homes.

How to Record an Audiobook Yourself Workshop with Joe Mahoney

Drawing on more than three decades of experience in audio production, storytelling, and publishing, Joe will share practical tips for bringing your written work to life in recorded form. This workshop is ideal for writers, storytellers, and anyone curious about the audiobook process.

Live Mural Painting Experience with artist Kiele Poirier

Step into the creative process and watch a vibrant mural come to life during the Summerside Arts Fest. Throughout the week of June 16–20 (weather permitting), visitors are invited to drop by, say hello, and see the artwork transform day by day through live painting outside Art Buds (329 Water Street). Swing by to chat with Kiele about her inspiration, discover her techniques, and feel the pulse of public art in action. Whether you stop for a few minutes or follow the mural’s progress all week long, it’s a chance to experience public art in action and get a behind-the-scenes look at mural-making.

Vishtèn is an award-winning Acadian group from PEI and the Magdalen Islands, known for their fiery blend of tradition and innovation. After the loss of co-founder Pastelle LeBlanc, bandmates Emmanuelle LeBlanc and Pascal Miousse embraced resilience and expansion, welcoming back longtime collaborator Megan Bergeron to continue their musical journey.
Louis Michot is best known as the fiddle player and lead singer for the Grammy award-winning Lost Bayou Ramblers, but his passion for Louisiana French and local folklore, and sustainability in the fastest disappearing landmass in the world, are what fuel his career as a musician. With over 20 LPs under his belt, his music career continues to push the boundaries of the Louisiana French music traditions.
